ORIGINAL
SURREAL ART -- FAIRY'S & MERMAIDS
A work of accidental surrealism
(involving fairy's & mermaids), this work of original
surreal art marks the eventual transition into surreal symbolism.
The subconscious finally broke through, grabbed the hand and
made original surreal art in COLOR! Wow. Tough times do that
to you: allow a breakthrough. A certificate of authenticity,
signed by the artist, is included with purchase.

NOTES:
Sextant:
A navigation device used by ancient mariners. This work of
original surreal art became THE PIECE that showed me the way
into surreal symbolism. The gut/subconsious speaks, the hand
draws and the head (eventually) figures it all out. Sextant.
Who knew? It was just a word that popped into my head and
I knew it was the name of the artwork. NOW, I know WHY it
is the name of the work (and it all just blows me away --
how it all fits together <g>). The little voice, it
speaks truth man.
The
first piece to feature the "i-fish." The i-fish
eventually becomes my personal symbol, my totem if you will
:)
One
of the first works where everything begins to come together
(artistically speaking). More than any other piece this is
where the transition from fantasy illustrator to surrealist/symbolist
becomes clear cut. The irony? The realization came AFTER the
piece was completed <lol>. It would be many years before
the pen was picked up and that particular path followed. This
was a work of accidental surrealism. Later works (1995+) become
original surreal art.
