    Artist précis.

    STARTED: Dec. 23, 2015.
    COMPLETED: July 7, 2016.

Working backwards to catch up: I am ALMOST done and the website is ALMOST up-to-date! YeHaw MF. Ha. BUT.... entries are STILL mostly from facebook. Once I get caught up... I don't know if we'll go back entirely to the old way or what. We'll see what happens. Ok?

I am NOT a camera and I think art has outgrown that usage (since everyone AND their grandmother carries a camera around inside their phone nowadays). Anyone can take a picture of anything. It's not like we're in the medieval ages when the local royalty needed artists to create a likenesses of their offspring to take to the next kingdom in order to arrange a marriage... or some such nonsense. There are CAMERAS for that nowadays. It's the modern age, eh? Ha. The conflict to all of that? I prefer realism. Actually I LIKE a LOT of different ways of making ART... including making videos. Art that MOVES. Fascinating. AND... I find ALL of these many, many things starting to REALLY come together in my art. I'm NOT a camera. I'm an ARTIST and I am really stARTing to PLAY with lines, shape, etc. ....more and more. NEXT

A new journey starts (as THIS year ends).

FACEBOOK (December 23, 2015): IT'S THAT TIME. During the year.... being artistic is something stolen between moments of this and that. Responsibility. Reality. Whatever. THIS TIME OF THE YEAR???? Days-In-A-Row are carved out and DEDICATED to NOTHING BUT ART. The artistic soul FINALLY gets to unfurl, flying far and hard while taking DEEP, gulping breaths. Enough ART so a balance can be reached that just MIGHT feed another year of.... "real stuff". Ha. Ha. Ha. It's so cool. Christmas is my favorite time of year. For completely different reasons than many. Ho. Ho. Ho. Soooo.... here's the final pict of "The Red Queen Effect". Back from the framers. Right now? Renee Magritte, Storm Thorgenson AND M.C. Escher are running amuck through my imagination. It's time to layout another drawing. I'm on it. See ya. You be cool and have a FANTASTIC holiday in ANY way that makes it right. NEXT

Nowhere near ready. BUT. BUT. ...

FACEBOOK (January 5, 2016): ARTIST RETREAT: A SUCCESS. BIGTIME! Right before the retreat... I was FREAKING out that I wasn't FREAKING OUT (about not having a new drawing in mind for the retreat). Yes. Really. This last year BUSINESS monopolized every spare moment I could find, often at the expense of art... and it was definitely a possibility that I was just too hardwired to be freaked. You can tell how bad it was by the fact that my website is officially a year out of date. I have had that website since 2000 and it has NEVER been out of date (more than a few weeks). Anyway. Here I was, at the doorstep of the retreat... and I was NOWHERE near ready. BUT. BUT. AND, ...but. I have something.... Here's a peek.... I don't know what you can actually SEE, but here's the bones baby. The new bones. Can you tell what my resolution is this year?? Guess. Ha. NEXT
